Ayodhya Airport Renamed: Unveiling the New Identity Post Railway Station Transformation

Ayodhya Airport has a new name now, just like the Ayodhya Railway Station that got renamed recently. The airport is now officially known as Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham, as reported by the news agency ANI on Thursday evening, citing reliable sources. This renaming follows the earlier change of the Ayodhya Railway Station to Ayodhya Dham.

The forthcoming visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, December 30, marks a momentous occasion with the dedication ceremony for Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram Airport and Ayodhya Railway Station. Additionally, the inauguration of the Greenfield Township (New Ayodhya) is set to be a highlight of the event. At the government level, discussions are underway to incorporate projects from Kanpur, Unnao, and Lakhimpur districts, with a collective value of approximately 16,000 crore rupees.

The initial phase encompasses the dedication of more than 60 projects worth 19,000 crore rupees and the groundbreaking of nearly 50 projects, totaling around 4,215 crore rupees. A detailed program for the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies at the public venue has been scheduled. Among the noteworthy projects funded by both central and state finances to be dedicated in this phase are Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport, Ayodhya Dham Railway Station, Rajarshi Dashrath State Medical College, Sushri Lata Mangeshkar Square at Nayaghat, New Queen Ho Memorial Park, Panchkosi Parikrama Path, and the Upper Ganges Bridge of Badi Bua.
