Dolly Parton Lights Up Thanksgiving with Show-Stopping Halftime Performance, Stunning as Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader

Dolly Parton stole the spotlight with her captivating halftime performance at Thursday’s Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders game. Dressed as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, the country music legend not only enthralled the AT&T Stadium audience but also left a lasting impression on viewers nationwide.

Parton’s setlist included iconic hits like “Jolene” and “9 to 5,” along with a remarkable rendition of Queen’s “We are the Champions.” Adding to the excitement, it was revealed before the game by Cowboys executive vice president and chief brand officer Charlotte Jones that Parton generously donated $1 million to the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign, kickstarting the initiative for the season.

This philanthropic gesture earned accolades from Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who commended Parton’s contribution. The collaboration between the Cowboys and the Salvation Army, now in its 27th year, has raised over $3 billion, benefitting the local community.

Jerry Jones expressed admiration, saying, “If the Cowboys could play as great professionally as the Salvation Army is at helping Dallas—because the money donated here stays here—we would win a Super Bowl every year,” as reported by NBC 5 in Dallas.

Parton’s Thursday night performance marked the culmination of a busy week that included the release of her new album on November 17. Undoubtedly, her show-stealing act overshadowed the football action, as the Cowboys secured victory in the second half led by stellar performances from quarterback Dak Prescott and receiver Cee Dee Lamb.
