Emmy-nominated Hollywood actor Jonathan Majors is facing conviction in a case involving the assault and harassment of his former girlfriend, British choreographer Grace Jabbari. Following the verdict of guilt in assault and harassment, Marvel Studios has taken decisive action by removing him from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Jonathan was originally cast to play the antagonist role in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film ‘Kang – The Conqueror.’ However, in light of the legal proceedings, Marvel has opted to remove him from significant roles in their upcoming superhero blockbusters.

She was with her ex-girlfriend in the assault

The altercation between Jonathan Majors and his girlfriend unfolded in March of this year. The dispute arose when his girlfriend discovered him messaging another girl, leading to a confrontation. The situation escalated, resulting in an assault when his girlfriend requested to see his phone. The woman suffered injuries to her head, back, ears, and face. Subsequently, the actor was arrested by the police in Manhattan based on the woman’s complaint.

A potential one-year sentence

On Tuesday, December 18, the advisory jury rendered a guilty verdict against the actor for harassment. Reports indicate that Jonathan Majors could face a sentence of up to one year in jail. Marvel Studios has also confirmed his removal from leading roles in upcoming Marvel films. This includes his exclusion from the much-anticipated ‘Avengers: Kang Dynasty.’

Actor Ousted from Several Films

Jonathan Majors made his debut as Kang the Conqueror in ‘Loki Season 1’ and reprised the character in ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.’ However, Marvel has decided to oust him from ‘Avengers: Kang Dynasty.’ According to reports, Marvel is now focused on reshaping its plans and redirecting attention to a new antagonist.
