After the tremendous success of ‘Master,’ Thalapathy Vijay, the superstar of the South, has teamed up with director Venkat Prabhu for his upcoming film, ‘Thalapathy 68.’ Currently in the midst of shooting, the producers have unveiled the first look of the movie, now officially titled ‘The Greatest of All Time,’ just in time for the new year 2024.
According to reports, Thalapathy Vijay will be portraying a dual role, playing both father and son, a revelation hinted at by the film’s poster. In the latest look, both characters are clad in military-grade jumpsuits, with a vintage Ukrainian plane soaring in the background. Accompanying the visual is a poignant line: ‘Light can burn the darkness, but darkness cannot consume the light.’
While specific details about the film remain under wraps, this sneak peek serves as an exciting New Year’s treat for Thalapathy Vijay’s devoted fans. The initial glimpse also suggests that the film’s stunt sequences will be crafted by Dilip Subbarayan, with dance choreography handled by Raju Sundaram and Sathish. Furthermore, the film will feature multiple original tracks. The eagerly awaited release of the movie is on the horizon, and fans can look forward to experiencing it in 2024.
The ensemble cast of the film includes Mike Mohan, Prashant, Prabhu Deva, Sneha, Laila, Jayaram, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Yogi Babu. Additionally, the film will see the collaboration of Venkat Prabhu with his regular team, including his brother Premgi, Vaibhav, Aravind Akash, and Ajay Raj, who have been consistent contributors to his previous projects.
Thalapathy Vijay’s last appearance was in ‘Master,’ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj earlier this year. The film, featuring Trisha Krishnan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Gautam Vasudev Menon, Malavika Mohanan, Madonna Sebastian, Sandy Master, and others, received widespread acclaim. Despite completing Venkat Prabhu’s film, Vijay has yet to disclose his next project. Speculations are rife about potential collaborations with directors like S. Shankar and Karthik Subbaraj. Additionally, there’s buzz that Vijay might reunite with Lokesh Kanagaraj for ‘Thalapathy 71.
